How do you put a value on priceless?
WHAT DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS LOOK LIKE?
If you’re interested in joining the Government Commercial Organisation, here’s what you can expect from the application process.
We’re a supportive and inclusive employer. Our work impacts people who live, work, and visit the UK, so it’s important that our workforce is reflective of the demographics and backgrounds of the people we serve.
We’re also a Disability Confident employer, and we work hard to ensure that our recruitment practices are inclusive, accessible, and open to all. When you apply for a position in our team, we want you to feel confident and comfortable sharing your unique personal circumstances with us so that we can support you through the application process to the best of our ability.
So, what can you expect when you apply for a role here? It’s a simple six-stage process…
For All Roles
Stage 1 – Application
Choose your preferred role and complete the online application.
If you haven’t received an acknowledgement of your application within two working days please contact: [email protected]
Stage 2 – Sift
Every application is reviewed, and the selection panel will match your skills and experience against the criteria of the role. If successful, we will invite you to attend an Assessment and Development Centre (ADC). This will be held virtually.
Stage 3 – Assessment and Development Centre
Your skills and experience will be assessed at the ADC against the People Standards for the Profession.
Stage 4 – Shortlist
If you have met the required standards at the Assessment Centre, the selection panel will make a decision on whether or not your application will progress to the final panel interview.
Stage 5 – Final Panel Interview
The panel will interview you based on the essential criteria of the role (as defined in the job advert).
Stage 6 – Outcome
Typically, we aim to get in touch with the outcome of your interview within five working days. In some cases, this timescale may be longer or shorter, but the GCO Recruitment Account Manager will be able to advise you on this.
If you have met the required standards at the Assessment Centre then we will move to making you an offer of employment.
If we have identified a greater number of suitable candidates than roles available, a merit list will be created in which you may be considered for other suitable roles.
